 Headquartered in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Merchants Foodservice operates state-of-the-art distribution and warehousing centers in Jackson, Mississippi; Clanton, Alabama; and Newberry, South Carolina and Tifton, Georgia. The company employs over 500 people and operates a fleet of 200 vehicles including 140 multi-temp delivery trailers. Most incoming orders are received directly from a customer's location via modem from laptop computers used by the company's 100-member sales force.
