1.0       BASIC FUNCTION

1.1              The basic function of the Driver is to ensure that the product is delivered to the customer complete (per invoice), in good order and in a timely manner.

2.0       REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

            2.1       Reports to:       Supervisor / Transportation Manager

3.0       REQUIREMENTS

            3.1      Education Required:       High School or equivalent                     

            3.2       Experience:                   Minimum one year driving experience with the proper license (CDL Class A)

            3.3       Skill, Knowledge & Abilities:    Basic knowledge of route delivery.  Able to read & understand an invoice.   Able to hook-up & un-hook a set of doubles if running shuttles.  Safe driving habits & driving record & acceptable MVR, able to lift 50+ pounds on a continuous basis.  Customer Service attitude.

           3.4        Physical Body Positions:           Sitting.  Walking.  Standing. Bending. 

                        Body Movements:                    Use of hands, arms, legs, eyes  and voice.

            3.5       Mental:                       Requires basic communication and math skills.  Must be

able to comprehend industry terms.  Computer literate, able to operate on board computer system

3.6       Working environment:  Outside in all weather conditions.  Tractor cab & inside trailer & customer premises including coolers & freezers

4.0       AUTHORITY

            4.1       The Driver has sufficient authority to successfully  complete

                        duties, responsibilities and objectives that are assigned. 

5.0       RESPONSIBILITIES

            5.1       The duties, tasks and responsibilities of the Driver consist of,

                        but not limited to the following:

                        5.1.1    Check route paper work prior to leaving yard

                        5.1.2    Ensure that he/she has correct trailer & tractor

                        5.1.3    Sign into on board computer with route no & id

                        5.1.4    Drive Safely & follow all DOT rules & regulations

5.1.5        Deliver all product error free & in a timely manner

5.1.6        Collect any monies due as indicated by invoice

5.1.7        Complete all necessary paperwork

5.1.8        Upon return to yard empty trailer ( consolidate at domiciles )

5.1.9        Separate, sort & account for all invoices

5.1.10    Place all money envelopes in the safe or route bag

5.1.11    Verify & sign off on pick up slips

5.1.12    Any other driver duties that may be assigned
