Merchants Officers Appointed to IFDA
Board

  Donald
B. Suber, president and CEO of Merchants Foodservice, has been appointed
to the board of directors of the International Foodservice Distributors
Association (IFDA). Suber began his career with Merchants 49 years
ago as a counter clerk. Andy Mercier, executive vice president of
Merchants, has been named to the organization's safety and security
commission. The IFDA is comprised of 133 member food and food-related
companies that is working to develop solutions for a number of important
issues including security against bioterrorism, food safety, country
of origin labeling and workplace safety.
