HATTIESBURG – HATTIESBURG, MI (June 6) – Merchants Foodservice here has been recognized as the Supplier of the Year by the Mississippi Hospitality & Restaurant Association, according to the distributorship.
            Merchants Foodservice, a 104-year-old company, is an ID Top 50 distributorship and a member of F.A.B. (Frosty Acres Brands), Inc. The broadliner covers the southeastern United States, and was also recently recognized by the Mississippi Business Journal as one of the fasted 40 growing companies in Mississippi.
            “Iron Distributor and Iron Chef: Merchants Foodservice President and CEO Andy Mercier and chef Cat Cora from the Food Network TV show Iron Chef after the distributorship was awarded the Supplier of the Year award. The Mississippi Hospitality & Restaurant Association recently held its annual fund raising event for their Education Foundation.
